The split classification is defined as follows:
The first class (03) applies to properties within five (5) road miles of a recognized
fire station and within the Verde Valley Fire District's boundaries. Because VVFD has a
qualified Alternate Water Supply, the requirement to be within 1,000 feet of a fire hydrant does
not apply; the only requirement that a property must meet to obtain the first class rating is to
be within five (5) road miles of a recognized fire station and within the Verde Valley Fire
- Class 10 applies to properties over five (5) road miles of a recognized fire station or not
within the Verde Valley Fire District's boundaries.
