HIPPA and Protected Health Information
Verde Valley Fire District is required by law to maintain the privacy of certain confidential healthcare information, known as Protected Health Information (PHI), and to provide you with a notice of our legal duties and privacy practices with respect to your PHI. This Notice describes your legal rights, advises you of our privacy practices, and lets you know how VVFD is permitted to use and disclose your PHI. VVFD is also required to abide by the terms of the version of this Notice currently in effect. In most situations we may use this information as described in this Notice without your permission, but there are situations where we may use it only after we obtain your written authorization, if we are required by law to do so.

Ambulance Billing
If you are a resident of Verde Valley Fire District (VVFD), the District will bill your insurance company for Ambulance Service and will accept the payment received from your insurance company as payment in full.
If you do not live in the VVFD, your insurance will be billed and you will owe the amount your insurance states you owe. If you do not have insurance, you will owe the full amount.
Verde Valley Fire District is certified by Medicare and Medicaid (AHCCCS) and is a participating provider of all major insurance carriers.
How do I pay my ambulance bill?
Billing for ambulance services is contracted through Action Ambulance Billing.
Action Ambulance Billing provides a complete in-house medical billing department that is compassionate and customer service oriented. Their knowledgeable and friendly billing department uses thorough and timely billing practices to correctly execute and complete billing to patients and insurance carriers. The billing is performed in accordance with sound business practices and the account representative is more than happy to assist you should you have any questions concerning your ambulance transport or insurance claims.
